Overview

One of the easiest ways to accomplish challenging Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is embarking on a journey via Lhasa. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa is an amazing blend of pilgrimage, nature exploration, cultural encounters, and adventure. It is a wholesome plan that lets you explore Tibetan culture in most of the important Tibetan sites before reaching sacred Lake Mansarovar and circumambulating the holy Mt. Kailash. The journey begins with flying over Mt. Everest to reach Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, and enjoying the beautiful landscape of Tibet.

Join our package of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa for 14 days to achieve a lifetime experience of the Yatra. The trip begins with paying homage to Lord Pashupatinath, an incarnation of Lord Shiva by visiting Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the holiest Hindu temples, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu valley. After visiting the temple, we fly to Lhasa the next day and visit some sites there like Barkhor Market. After acclimatizing our bodies and enjoying our time in Lhasa, we take a scenic drive via several Tibetan cities to reach Lake Mansarovar. Along our drive, we admire views of mountains, lakes, and the amazing landscape of Tibet. Lake Mansarovar, the highest freshwater lake in the world has religious significance. It is believed that taking a dip or bath in this lake will wash away all sins. You can take a holy bath before the parikrama (circumambulation) of Kailash as well as perform puja and hawan on the banks of the lake. Then, we take the drive to reach Yama Dwar, the starting point of Parikrama. The non-parikrama group drives back to Darchen after Puja while the parikrama group begins their trek to visit the North Face of Mt. Kailash and Dirapuk. The trekking is via Dolma La Pass, the highest and toughest pass of the entire journey. You get to visit Gauri Kund, a holy lake located beyond the Dolma La Pass. Hindus believe that Gauri Kund (Lake of Compassion) was the place where Lord Shiva finally admitted his love for his wife Gauri (Parvati). Then you trek to reach Zhongdo and take a drive to return to Kathmandu via Lhasa.

In a nutshell, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa is one of the best ways to fulfill one’s spiritual needs and adventurous desires.
