Kalinchowk Trek

Overview

On the trek, you will come across some villages mainly inhabited by Tamangs, Sherpas, and Brahmins. Along the trail also can be seen are a few monasteries and Temples. A good view of the Mountains and Sunkoshi River can also be had. After crossing Sherpa villages you come across a thick forest with lots of Rhododendron trees. After that you reach Kalinchowk. From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579meters), you could get a good view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Namburi Himal. There is also a prominent temple of the Hindus called the Kali temple. Two natural springs originate from this area which are called Sundhara and Tama which are the main source of the very big two rivers the Sunkoshi and Tama Koshi rivers.

Package Included :  

• Transportation to and from the trekking starting point
• Accommodation during the trek
• Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the trek
• Trekking permits and entry fees
• Guide and porter fees
• Basic trekking equipment (sleeping bag, trekking poles, etc.)

Package Excludes : 

• Personal expenses (snacks, beverages, souvenirs, etc.)
• Travel insurance
• Extra porters or guides (if required)
• Any additional activities or side trips
• Medical or emergency expenses
• Tips or gratuities for guides and porters.

Booking and Payments:

• Trip booking should be made at least 1 month before the trek.
• A valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity is required.
• 50% of the total cost should be transferred to Sunny Travels’ account, along with a color passport copy of the client, at least 21 days before the tour departure date.
• Full payment should be made 10 days before the trek departure.

Tour Cancellation Policy:

• All cancellations must be communicated in writing.
• Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
• Cancellation within 21 days of the tour departure date incurs a 30% cancellation fee.
• Cancellation within 15 days of the tour departure date incurs a 50% cancellation fee.
• The tour operators reserve the right to change dates or cancel the trek in case of unavoidable circumstances.
• Note: Additional charges may apply for hotels in case of flight cancellations due to weather problems.

Risk and Liabilities:

• Sunny Travel and its counterparts are not responsible for any alteration or cancellation of the trek due to circumstances beyond control, such as road blockades, landslides, snow, political unrest, flight cancellations, delayed arrivals, lack of transport, visa rejections, sickness, or accidents.
• The clients will bear any additional costs incurred in such situations.
• It is highly advised for clients to have full insurance covering medical, trip cancellation, and personal accident risks.
• The given cost is non-commissionable.
