Dolpo, the hidden land of Ba-Yul, was settled by Tibetans in the 10th century, creating a high-altitude sanctuary of stunning beauty. With fortress-like villages and monasteries scattered amidst its stark mountains, Dolpo remains culturally tied to Tibet. Isolated from southern neighbors by snow-covered passes, Dolpo is a challenging and captivating destination. Shey Phoksumdo National Park protects much of Dolpo, surrounded by the majestic Dhaulagiri and Churen Himal ranges. For years, Dolpo remained untouched by development and tourism until it opened to organized trekking groups in 1989. Renowned books like “The Snow Leopard” and “Himalayan Pilgrimage” have added to Dolpo’s allure.

The iconic Shey Gompa and the Oscar-nominated film “HIMALAYA” were filmed in Dolpo, captivating global audiences. Venturing into Upper Dolpo reveals its rich Bon-po heritage, an ancient shamanistic religion predating Tibetan Buddhism. Bon-po symbolism differs from Buddhism, with swastikas on mud shortens guiding trekkers in the opposite direction. Booking and Payments:

1. To secure your reservation for Upper Dolpa Trekking, advance booking is recommended.
2. A deposit of a certain percentage of the total cost is required to confirm your booking.
3. The remaining balance should be paid before the trek departure date.
4. Payments can be made through bank transfers or other agreed-upon methods.
5. Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

Tour Cancellation Policy:

1. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our office.
2. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
3. If you cancel your trek within a specified period before the departure date, a certain percentage of the total cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
4. The exact cancellation policy and applicable fees will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

2. We are not liable for any changes, alterations, or cancellations to the itinerary due to factors like natural disasters, political unrest, flight cancellations, or unforeseen circumstances.
3. Participants are responsible for their own travel insurance, which should cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, and personal accidents.
4. Any additional costs incurred due to delays, changes, or emergencies during the trek are the responsibility of the participants.
